internship! The trip is rather grueling (16 hours total on the plane, and then 16 more on the bus), but she managed to survive and is now in the middle of clinicals everyday. The hills and the scenery almost make the work worth it (in my opinion it's the food that keeps you happy--yummm!). The busy life of so many people crammed into a tiny space, recklessly driving around, throwing trash in the streets, letting stray dogs in the hospital, and the "weird Spanish" was a shock at first. Hopefully she is adjusting well. The--shall we say, "crappy"--air has had a little bit of an affect, but hopefully she'll get through with inhalers.
So she's not the only one having a tough time. It's hard not having her with. It's only been two weeks, and about 5 more to go. (31 days if anyone wants to know) Hopefully time goes by faster...
