Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day! Since I don't get to be with any family members (including my hubby) on this summer holiday, I thought I'd post some pictures of them instead. These were taken back in January. We aren't able to get together very often since we have busy lives and are spread across the country. We live in Utah, Mighigan, Ohio, Washington, Texas, and mom's in Arizona. Any family pictures are a treasure.

We missed Matt, Mary, Caleb, Andrew, Aaron, Craig, Elizabeth, and Dallin. We'll try to photoshop you all in. =)

Camping Adventures

A couple weeks back we decided we needed to go camping at least once before Sean's internship starts. The only time that worked was a Monday night so we turned it into FHE. We found this great campground, packed up everything we needed, and drove about 30 minutes. It was a great location with a river running right next to our spot. We made tin foil dinners but unfortunately cooked them way to long. They tasted like charcoal. Too bad because we were excited about them and didn't bring much else in the way of food. We learned a few things to do differently next time but it was a fun adventure and we made good memories.

The top looked okay but the bottom was BLACK!!
Doing what boys do best--building fires!!

This great tent was a wedding gift two years ago and we finally used it for the first time!!

My New Do

Last Saturday I got my hair cut. I went to a gal at a salon that I have been to before and whom I trust. Last time I was really pleased. This time--not so much. The front looks okay. The back is bad. (That's why there is no picture of the back.=) It was choppy and uneven. It was bulky and not what I asked or hoped for. She seemed like she was in a hurry which I don't like at all. A few days ago Sean helped me even out the back. Scary huh? He did a good job but still it's a little weird. Oh well. I'll live with it. Sorry this isn't the best pic.

Wow, it was amazing!!!

Last Wednesday Sean and I had the best date ever. First we went to Ikea which is always fun. Then we went to Olive Garden for dinner. And then the very best part of all--we went to see the braodway musical Wicked. It was absolutely amazing. The talent in those performers blew my mind. I could listen to their voices forever and not get tired of it. Seriously I found myself at certain parts of the play with my jaw literally dropped in wonder.

It was such a fun, enjoyable, uplifting, and humerous play. We had terrific seats--on the 10th row! I still get goosebumps when I think of how wonderful it was. I already want to see it again. Isn't it interesting how at the end of a play you feel so attached to the main characters and you don't want them to go away? It's almost sad when they have their final curtain call and they are all done. Anyway, Sean and I both enjoyed the musical very much. Sean simply turned to me and said, "That was spectacular."
