Christmas Tree Shopping

On Saturday we went with the Oborns to pick out a real Christmas Tree. Our boys have never been able to do this since we always put up an artificial one. It was so fun. I love the smell of the trees and the boys enjoyed getting out and touching each tree and saying "how about this one?"

This tiny one was Preston's favorite.

And then afterwards we had to take a ride on grandpa's four-wheelers. The boys were in heaven!

End of November

Sean took a few days off at the end of November and it was a great time to do so. The weather was perfect. We went to Papago Park and hiked the "Hole in the Rock" and had a picnic lunch.

Sean and I went to a fancy cocktail party (on Nov, 22) hosted by the CEO of Sean's company. I had to take a picture to prove that I do get dressed up occasionally.

Dave was in town and Olivia loved him! She smiled a lot for Dave. We wish we could see him more often.

Olivia got this precious, ivory, lace outfit from my friend Rachelle. I just love it and had to take a picture of Olivia wearing it.

We enjoyed a morning at Mesa's "Western Days". We took a train ride, had a picnic lunch, and watched the Veteran's Day parade which the boys loved because of all the army trucks, helicopters, and airplanes that flew by.

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at my mom's house. It was great to be together and of course, have delicious food. I brought the fruit salad and veggie platter. Dave came down from Seattle making a total of 7 adults and 6 kids. Even though events are crazy with tons of babies and kids running around--it's still fun to get together and celebrate the holidays.

And only in Arizona can you end your thanksgiving day by taking your clothes off and playing in the hose and the water table. =) These boys had so much fun together--and got so wet!

One Week Ago..

One week ago today Sean was in a bad car accident on the freeway. It was rush hour coming home from work and a woman swerved into his lane, hitting him all along the driver's side, spinning him into the cement retaining wall, and then around to face oncoming traffic. We were so blessed because Sean was able to walk away from the accident. His minor injuries included seatbelt bruises, cuts from glass, a sore shoulder, and a sore neck. Our car is totaled and we now have a rental car until the insurance gives us the settlement. This has proven to be so stressful and time consuming and I know we won't get enough money from the insurance to buy a comparable car, but I have to remind myself how blessed we are to still have Sean here. This could have ended up much differently.
