Remembering

Today I am remembering my loving, selfless, funny, smart daddy who passed away 6 years ago today, on March 27, 2007. That was probably the hardest day of my life. I still miss him very much. I am glad Sean got to meet him a few times and that he got to ask my dad for permission to marry me. I want my kids to know Grandpa Dave. We talk about him often. I want to laugh and make more memories with him. But I do know that where he is now, he is happy and well. And I do know with absolute surety, that I will see him again. For now, I'll reminisce about our earthly days together and look forward to our heavenly days together.

A Fun Weekend

My brother Dave flew in from Seattle a couple weekends ago and we had some fun times together. Grant loves Dave because he is wild and crazy and fun. We had everyone over to our house for dinner that Friday night. That was the biggest dinner party i've ever hosted, 10 adults and 4 kids. It was great to all be together.

Then on Saturday we hiked Papago Mountain and enjoyed the beautiful weather and the nice view from the top.

Preston

Because that picture of Preston in my last post is less than flattering, here is my little man looking a little more dapper.  =)

Every March...

...we pick a beautiful day and go on a picnic with Grandma Norine. We had delicious chicken sandwiches and enjoyed the warm sunshine. After eating, we walked, played, and fed the ducks seeds. Good memories!
