Binky-Free

I can't believe we failed to mention such a momentous occaision in the Oborn family. Grant has been binky-free since Monday, May 23, 2011. Woo hoo!! Since the begining this little boy has LOVED his soothie binky. He needed that "non-nutritive sucking" that many babies crave. We took the binky everywhere because it was always comforting for Grant. When his top four teeth were coming in and the pediatrician said it's time to be done, we had to be strong and get rid of it. I was so worried about nap time and bed time but it turned out great. The first night he cried for 10 minutes when I put him down without the binky. The next night he cried for 5 minutes. And since then...nothing. Easy peasy right? Who needs a binky now? Not us!! Yes we even resorted to buying a pink one when we couldn't find any at home and that's all the store had in stock. =)

The Open House and The Zoo

Last Saturday Sean's parents hosted a beautiful open house for Rachel and Mike in their backyard. It turned out beautifully.

On Memorial Day Grant and I went to the zoo while Sean stayed home and dutifully studied for the second of 4 CPA exams.

And just because he let me put them on him...here is our little rockstar.
