My little munchkin
My sweet little Preston has endured a month of colds, coughs, ear infections, and runny noses. Poor boy. I hate seeing my kids sick. Hopefully he's on the mend and will return to his jolly self soon. I captured these photos a couple days ago. I can always get a smile out of him with a rousing game of peek-a-boo.
3 More Projects
1. I've been wondering where to put all the cute crafts Grant comes home with from preschool. Then my sister told me about this great idea. It's an artwork clothes line. I put ours upstairs in the playroom. It adds color to some boring white walls and this way, the fridge isn't overtaken by kids art. My guide came from this blog.
2. I decided to be brave and make some homemade finger paints for Grant. Turns out, he hates finger painting and begged for a paintbrush. Oh well. =) My recipe came from here.
3. I've been wanting to figure out how to sew baby bow ties for my boys. Finally I sat down and got it done. These two I gave away at a friend's baby shower. I plan on making more for my boys. I want them to have matching bow ties on Easter. Here is the tutorial that helped me with this project. I don't really love having things wrapped around kids necks (all the other tutorials had straps for the bow ties) so I attached a small, metal, alligator clip on the back of these. That way they just clip on the button-down shirt and nothing goes around the neck. (Think clip-on tie but with a bow.)
Best wishes with your projects!

Valentine's Day
To celebrate the lover's holiday...
We made homemade valentines for Grant to pass out in preschool.
We wore red and smiled a lot.
We ate heart-shaped waffles for breakfast.
Grant went to preschool and had a valentine's party.
I decorated the house with some free printables (in the frame and mod podged on the wooden blocks)
We colored pictures together. (When I tried to print off a valentine's coloring page, Grant insisted we color cars instead.)
We dipped strawberries in chocolate (a tradition every year) and enjoyed homemade sugar cookies too! Yum.
