Another Look at Easter

The delicious blackberry, stuffed, french toast that my mom made. It also had homemade buttermilk syrup--amazing!!!

Right now Grant's very favorite toys are the large lego-like blocks. He can't get enough of them.

Easter

We had a terrific Easter Sunday yesterday. My brother David was in town for the weekend and yesterday was also his birthday. So, we had a delicious Easter/Birthday breakfast together at my mom's. She maid blueberry, cream cheese french toast that was amazing! Then we went to church. Then Grant went down for a nap and slept for 3 hours and 15 minutes!! Wow. Sean and I got a nap in as well which makes the day even better. Then we woke up and went to the Oborn's for an Easter Dinner and Easter Egg hunt. It was so fun. They gave each kid (yes we are the kids) a different color of yarn and we had to roll up our yarn (which was strewn all around the yard) until it lead us to our hidden basket. Even Grant got to participate. It was great.

Grant was thrilled with his basket. He would pull the eggs apart and make the candy go flying. He tried to eat the candy with the wrappers still on. He also got a cute board book about Easter.

He would not look up for a picture! He was so interested in his basket of goodies. Thanks Matt and Mary for the adorable hand-me-down church outfit.

Last week we dyed easter eggs. The weather was perfect so we did it outside on the patio. Grant just wanted to throw the eggs because they look like balls.

Last week we made a little garden in our back yard and did some planting. We planted 2 rose bushes, 1 tomato plant, and lots of sunflower and watermelon seeds. I hope I don't kill all the plants. Here are Sean and Grant planting. Grant just wanted to eat all the seeds so he didn't help too much. =)
Grant had his 15 month well-child visit today and here are his stats.

Height: 32.75 inches (90%) This is the highest percentile he's ever been in height.

Weight: 23 pounds 4 ounces (35%) This is the lowest percentile he's ever been in weight.

Head: 19.5 inches (95%)

We have a long, lean, large-headed boy on our hands and we sure love him to pieces.

Grant is getting his first molar, he got three shots today, and he fell face-first on the tile and bit through his lip. Today was not his day. Poor boy.
