Lately...

We celebrated father's day with a couple small gifts, cookie dough truffles, and lots of hugs for daddy. Grant sure loves his daddy. He asks all day for "da da" and when Sean comes home from work, Grant doesn't let him out of his sight until bedtime.

We had visitors. Adam and Dave came to town and we had fun. The boys swam in the river, played racquetball, we had a barbeque, and played games.

This past Sunday was Grant's first official day in nursery. I can't believe he's old enough for that milestone. He was sad and crying at first so Sean stayed with him for about 30 minutes. Then Sean left and the rest of the time Grant clung to the 18-year-old nursery teacher and wouldn't let go. At least he stayed in there the whole time though right? And of course, Happy 4th of July! We celebrated by just being together. We did our weekly grocery shopping this morning, had a yummy breakfast made by Sean, played uno, had Eric over, played in the backyard, and ended the day by going out to dinner while Grant played at home with grandma and grandpa. It was a terrific day. Happy Birthday America! (Grant's shirt says "All-American Baby Boy Champ".)

With temperatures reaching 119 lately (yuck) we've enjoyed our inflatable kiddie pool out back. The hose water is pretty cool actually and we stay in the shade of our patio. So it's pretty fun and sunburn free.
