Vacation to Flagstaff

Last weekend we took a much-needed break from the busyness of life and drove north to Flagstaff. Sean had a little time off work and a break from school so we had to take advantage of it. We rented a nice condo, brought all our own food to save money, and enjoyed the cooler, mountain air.

This was our first vacation as a family of five and it presented it's challenges. You have to pack a lot of stuff! Schedules were off (which is what we thrive on at home). Naps were not great. The rains poured for one whole day. Grant fell and split his lip. Preston fell and got a bloody nose. We were exhausted and grouchy at times. But I can say we did have a good time overall and I am glad we made memories together as a family.

We enjoyed hiking, swimming, walking historic Route 66, picnicking, playing games, playing at parks, and touring an outdoor children's science festival.

Hi! Glad you guys were able to get away. Isn't it so fun (yet stressful) to plan your own vacation with just your little family?! Good for you guys! Sounds like your trip was anything but boring! I miss you. We need to get together soon.
